Why I started this blog
My name is Luana. I am 16 years old and a sophomore in high school. This school year, I decided to do the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) Personal Project. For my project, I wanted to dive deeper into something I love. I chose two things. Family and food.
I am a Brazilian-American but for the majority of my life, most of the meals my mother cooked were American food. Typical dinners in our house usually consisted of protein, usually chicken, steak, or pork, some vegetables, rice, and beans. Occasionally we will switch it up and try something new but I felt our dinners were becoming boring.

For my MYP personal project, I ultimately decided to research and make different Brazilian recipes that are important to not only me, but my mom, my grandma (Vovo Lena), and other family members. In this blog, you will not only find many delicious recipes but you will also hear stories about how they became a part of Brazilian culture and my family heritage.
